Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-03-30

1. Service Description

Vigilant provides a REST API for extracting structured lawsuit data from Brazilian court systems. The service searches public court records by CPF and returns parties, movements, subjects, and metadata.

2. Account & Credits

You must create an account to use the service. Each court search costs credits, purchased via Stripe. Credits are non-transferable. Unused credits do not expire. Refunds are provided automatically for failed searches.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. You must have legitimate reason to search CPF data (legal proceedings, credit analysis, compliance). Mass scraping, reselling raw data, or using the service for harassment is prohibited.

4. Data Accuracy

We extract data directly from court websites. While we strive for accuracy, court systems may change without notice. We do not guarantee completeness or real-time accuracy of the data. Results are cached for up to 2 days.

5. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Court websites may be temporarily unavailable. Failed searches are automatically retried and credits are refunded if all attempts fail.

6. API Usage Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits to ensure fair access. Excessive requests may be throttled. Contact us if you need higher limits for enterprise use cases.

7. Liability

Vigilant is provided "as is". We are not liable for decisions made based on the data returned by the API. You are responsible for verifying data accuracy for your use case.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
